Swan Lake

36 Holes - $4 - Par 48

Swan Lake is about a 20 minute drive north of Salt Lake City and features two courses: a cement swinging posts, barn doors, haunted castle miniature golf course and another actual living grass putting course.  The mini-golf course is nothing special, but the putting course is probably the best in the state.

What do we mean by a putting course? Well, imagine the longest, hilly-est greens that you might have ever seen on a golf course, and then throw in the occassional water hazard and sand trap. At Swan Lake, they've also got the luxery of tormenting you with mosquitos that live in the sess pools that double as the water hazards.  But don't get me wrong, it's a great course and a nice change of pace from the norm.

Expect long putts and a high score.  Without being accustommed to this sort of course, we found that our scores were well over par.  The facility offers batting cages, a driving range, and possibly a short par 3 course, but the main attraction is clearly the putting course. So there you go. Bad bugs, bad mini-golf course, but great putting course.
